What happens when you grow up alone with your mentally ill, fanatically religious mother? What happens when you don't know who is punishing you any more - society, a higher power or your own loneliness and the fear of not belonging?
What do we really know about the way we act?
What do we do when we know that no one will be there for us?

*Carrie is Stephen King's first published novel. In it Carrie lives alone with her mentally ill mother. The mother's turned their home into a fanatically religious bubble of rituals and exorcism. Everyday Carrie has to escape this evil place only to face an unsympathetic and cruel world. She doesn't fit in! She's alone, cast out, hated and bullied. Abused by everyone around her. What no one knows is that Carrie has a terrible secret, she can by thought alone make doors close, mirrors crack and she's learning to control her power. When a prank at prom gets out of hand, Carrie lets her power surface. She begins a violent massacre that has horrifying consequences for the entire town.
It's a dark story featuring isolation, disappointment, jealousy, guilt, sexuality, madness and fear. But at its core it's also the story of a teenage girl's completely normal emotions.
In the performance we explore a powerful expression where the novel acts as a platform for improvisations on the story and themes.

Aktör's performance is a shining example of the great theatre available at the moment.../This is a superb performance where everything and everyone become an indivisible whole.", /Nummer
Åsa Gustafsson is amazing as the confused and exposed Carrie.../in every sense it's a consistent and impressive performance..../...after the performance my nails are chewed right down.../It's been a long time since I saw such a shaking performance. Be brave and see Ingen kärlekshistoria."
/Göteborgs Fria Tidning
"Consistent and strong./Few others can as Gustafsson perform with the very whites of their eyes./The disgust of the sex's presence turns into a path to Golgotha covered in tissues."
